STA President Selected for Leadership Posts

St. Teresa’s Academy is pleased to announce Dr. Siabhan May-Washington, STA President, has been selected to join the
 Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City’s Board of Directors and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Executive Women’s Leadership Council.



The Stars Air on Cable TV

The success of STA’s Broadcasting and Production Course I course is impressive. On January 28, 2023, the class, which includes freshmen thru seniors, will broadcast a 30-minute feature segment on Spectrum Cable. STA currently is the only high school in the Kansas City area with a cable television presence.



STA Appoints Chief Operating and Financial Officer

STA names Chris Newman as the Academy’s first Chief Operating and Financial Officer effective February 6, 2023.



STA Finance Director Announces Retirement

Kathy (Baker, ’81) Rohr has announced her retirement from St. Teresa’s Academy effective June 30, 2023. She has steadfastly served in her role as Director of Finance, supervising the Business Office since 2014.



STA STEAM Director Among Top Leaders in Missouri

STA’s Mandi Sonnenberg, Ed.D., named among the Top 50 Women Leaders in Missouri by Women We Admire.



STA Environmental Science Teacher Wins National Award

The National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS) names Environmental Science teacher Sarah Holmes the 2022 Innovative Teacher of the Year.
