STA is pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Kim Warren, Ph.D. (’90). Dr. Warren was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy in 1990.

STA announces the Class of 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian.

St. Teresa’s Academy announced today that it has earned Cognia® Accreditation, with School of Distinction status. Only 60 schools worldwide earned this honor. STA was the only school in Kansas or Missouri to receive this.

In summer 2024, STA’s institutional accreditation was once again renewed. The Academy first earned this accolade in 1923, making this the school’s 101st consecutive year of being accredited. In addition, the school earned STEM certification for its outstanding work in STEM-related programming.

On Sunday, July 9, The Kansas City Star named St. Teresa’s Academy “Kansas City’s Favorite High School” based on community-wide input.

STA art students brought home more than 20 awards from the Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, including four Gold Key awards.

While people across the globe are celebrating Earth Day, at STA we celebrate Earth Day every day! Learn about efforts by faculty, staff and students to preserve and protect our planet for current and future generations.

STA students swept the 9th-10th grade division at the Kansas City Invention Convention sponsored by the Linda Hall Library. Faculty member Mary Montag was recognized with the Educator Appreciation Award.

STA senior Teresa E. has been selected for the 2023 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri’s top academic students from the graduating class of 2023.
