At a March 21, 2024, ceremony in Goppert Gymnasium, the STA community honored student and community recipients of the Mother Evelyn O’Neill Award. This award recognizes excellence in leadership, community service or educational reform.

STA honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and his passion and commitment to racial equality and civil rights.

On Sunday, July 9, The Kansas City Star named St. Teresa’s Academy “Kansas City’s Best High School” based on community-wide input.

The STA campus community gathered on April 27, 2023, to honor student achievements and name this year’s Academy Woman.

In September, Sister Pat Bergen, CSJ, visited STA’s campus to share stories about the founders’ history.

In June 2022, STA staff traveled to Laredo, Texas, to volunteer at La Frontera Migrant Shelter.

STA President Dr. Siabhan May-Washington comments as a panelist at the Sisters of St. Joseph U.S. Federation Conference in St. Louis. The conference theme was, “Radically Transforming Community.”

Thanks to the efforts of six seniors and their science instructor, residents of two new beehives now call the roof of Donnelly Hall home.
