STA senior Teresa E. has been selected for the 2023 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri’s top academic students from the graduating class of 2023.

STA is pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Becky Blades. She describes herself as “writer, artist, strategist, stARTist,” and recently authored a book titled Start More Than You Can Finish. In this thought-provoking book, Blades draws on hundreds of interviews with stARTists, as well as research in neuroscience, creativity and behavioral science to arrive at a fresh take on starting and finishing.

Students from STA competed in a variety of events at the Future Business Leaders of America competition, with 19 advancing to state competition in April.

The success of STA’s Broadcasting and Production Course I course is impressive. On January 28, 2023, the class, which includes freshmen thru seniors, will broadcast a 30-minute feature segment on Spectrum Cable. STA currently is the only high school in the Kansas City area with a cable television presence.

STA congratulates Tammy N., STA senior on receiving the prestigious Questbridge Scholarship. She will study at Hamilton College beginning in the fall of 2023.
