Strategic Plan
St. Teresa’s Academy is pleased to share our five-year (2021-2026) Strategic Plan. The plan, which was developed in collaboration with the STA community – faculty and staff, alumnae, community advocates, the STA Board of Directors, and parents and students – was approved by the board in the summer of 2021.
The strategic plan focuses on five pillars, outlined below, that are core to the Academy’s success.
St. Teresa’s Academy’s identity with the Sisters of St. Joseph serves as the foundation for education as a Catholic institution. The Academy fosters, nurtures, and guides students to successful futures that may take them across the country and world. These leaders of tomorrow will leave the Academy with an exceptional educational and spiritual foundation and will have been a part of a very special tradition.
We are a Catholic school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph. By rooting a student’s education and experience in the Catholic faith and the values of our founding Sisters of St. Joseph, we teach students to use their personal prayer lives to recognize the needs of the world around them.
St. Teresa’s Academy embraces and values engagement with communities – alumnae, parents, and local organizations – as a powerful means for advancing its mission. In the words of our founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph, “together, we are more.” Our mission is strengthened every day through our connections to each other and to God.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is a tenet of Catholic Social Teaching. DEI initiatives enhance our commitment to and advance the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
St. Teresa’s Academy adheres to sound financial and management policies to ensure the sustainability of our resources, including our people, our campus, and our finances. We continually evaluate and implement best practices to ensure sustainability of STA.
