“A career in athletics was always an easy choice for me. Growing up, the majority of things my family did involved either playing sports or attending a game. The older I’ve gotten, the more evident the life lessons learned while competing have become. The struggles and successes on the field are no different than those we face in our daily lives. There’s something tremendously special about watching a team or individual struggle, work and sacrifice to overcome adversity and ultimately achieve their goals. Most importantly, athletics are fun. While there’s a lot of work behind the scenes, once the whistle blows and the kids are playing, there’s nothing better.”
