Asynchronous Online Course

Students must schedule time with Ms. Blake on May 18, 19 or 20 to pick up lab supplies. Course materials (OneNote content) will be available Tuesday, May 26. The class will meet via Teams on Wednesday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m. to go over assignments, labs and the final project.

Environmental Science is the interdisciplinary study of how humans interact with the natural world and how we can address environmental challenges. Students will learn how scientific principles apply to real-world issues such as pollution, energy use and sustainability.

Students will complete at-home video lectures, assigned readings, homework, online quizzes and at-home labs. There will NOT be a comprehensive final exam; instead, students will research a current environmental issue.

Note: This course does not replace the required biology, chemistry or physics courses required for graduation. It is one-half science credit elective that will count toward the three science credits for graduation.
