STA Announces New Track & Field Head Coach

Today, St. Teresa’s Academy announces the appointment of Malon Lee as the new Track and Field Head Coach. “I am thrilled to introduce Malon  as the new head coach of the track and field program,” said Kat Williams, STA Athletic Director. “With a wealth of experience in coaching and competing at both the collegiate and high school levels, Malon brings invaluable expertise to our program. What sets her apart are her dual qualifications as a National Board Certified Counselor and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am confident that her background in counseling will be a tremendous asset in supporting the holistic development and well-being of our athletes. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Malon will undoubtedly have on our team.”

Lee, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, boasts an impressive athletic career, earning numerous gold and silver medals in the 100m and 200m dashes at Missouri Valley College. Her success continued at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, and a minor in Spanish. Not only does Lee hold multiple school records, she also played a pivotal role in leading the UMKC women’s track and field team to success.

Following her collegiate journey, Lee pursued a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Jacksonville State University. Lee’s commitment to coaching was evident as she became a top-10 performer in various events and served as a graduate assistant coach at JSU.
