September 1, 2026

St. Teresa’s Academy is excited to announce the hiring of Jennifer Evans as the new head soccer coach for the Stars.

Evans brings a diverse background in coaching, education and leadership to STA, with experience spanning the high school, collegiate, club and international levels. She also brings valuable collegiate coaching experience through her work with the soccer program at Avila University. In addition, Evans currently serves as a head coach in the Kansas Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program and as an assistant director with Finesse Soccer. Her coaching experience also includes work with Sporting Blue Valley and the KC Courage Women’s team.

Her coaching career has also taken her around the world. Evans served as the varsity girls head soccer coach at Shanghai American School, where she also coached basketball and led the JV girls soccer program. She additionally served as a varsity girls assistant soccer coach at Korea International School in Seoul, South Korea.

Evans holds a U.S. Soccer National C Coaching License, earned in 2024, and has continued her professional development through opportunities including the Netherlands Football Association World Coaches Course.

In addition to her extensive coaching background, Evans brings significant experience as an educator and leader. She holds a Master of Science in Education in Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University and a bachelor’s degree in middle school mathematics and social studies education from the University of Missouri. Her career has included teaching and leadership roles in Missouri, China and South Korea.

Evans also understands the student-athlete experience firsthand. As a high school student, she was a multi-sport athlete and played soccer at Blue Valley North High School. Her experience as both a student-athlete and coach provides her with a valuable perspective on the importance of developing well-rounded athletes while fostering a positive, competitive and supportive team culture.

“We are excited to welcome Jennifer to St. Teresa’s Academy and have her lead our soccer program,” said Athletic Director Kat Williams. “Jennifer brings a tremendous amount of experience from coaching at the collegiate, club and international levels. We were especially impressed with her involvement in the Olympic Development Program, her commitment to professional development and her experience as an educator. She understands the importance of developing the whole student-athlete, building strong relationships and creating a positive and competitive team culture. We are confident that Jennifer is the right person to lead our program into its next chapter.”

Evans takes over a St. Teresa’s Academy soccer program with a strong tradition of competitive success. The Stars look forward to the leadership, experience and passion she will bring to the program as she begins this exciting new chapter.
