March 1, 2024

Today, St. Teresa’s Academy announces the promotion of Erin Greenhalgh to Lacrosse Head Coach. Greenhalgh is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She has cultivated her passion for lacrosse from a young age. As a standout athlete, she thrived in the Division I lacrosse scene at Loyola University in Maryland, participating in three NCAA tournaments, including one Final Four.

Transitioning to coaching after her playing career, she spent seven years in Baltimore coaching high school lacrosse, both at the club level and at an all-girls school where she also taught math. In 2013, she relocated to Kansas City, where she has been an assistant coach at St. Teresa’s Academy. Now, she eagerly anticipates stepping into the role of head coach, aiming to continue to advance the growth and popularity of girls’ lacrosse. Greenhalgh resides in Brookside with her husband and their four energetic children.

Athletic Director Kat Williams praised Greenhalgh’s dedication and expertise, saying, “Erin’s commitment to our lacrosse program and our student-athletes at STA is evident. As she takes on the head coach role, we look forward to her continued leadership and the positive influence she will bring to the growth of the girls lacrosse community.”
