STA Names 2023 Distinguished Alumna

St. Teresa’s Academy is proud to honor Beth Haden (‘02) with the 2023 Distinguished Alumna Award.
Beth is a partner at Lathrop GPM, a national law firm with deep roots in Kansas City. She has achieved remarkable success throughout her career. Her journey from being a dedicated
student at STA to becoming a trailblazing attorney serves as an inspiration to women everywhere.
Beth has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the legal profession and her unwavering commitment to her clients. Her expertise in commercial lending has earned her a reputation as one of the finest legal minds in Kansas City. Beth earned a spot in Ingram’s Magazine’s 40 Under Forty last year and was named a Rising Star by The Independent magazine in 2016. This fall, she is being recognized as an “Up & Coming” Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
Beyond her professional achievements, Beth’s dedication to community service has made a significant impact on the lives of many. Her involvement in charitable initiatives and her commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities exemplify the true spirit of an STA alumna. Beth has chaired the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired Trolley Run and served an integral role on the organization’s board of directors for the past 11 years. As former board president, she strives to bring awareness to this charity’s mission of inclusive education for children with developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities.
Beth’s legacy extends beyond her legal career. She remains deeply committed to her faith, family and community which can be witnessed in her St. Peter’s Parish volunteerism and her work with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Beth plays an active and loving role as aunt to her nieces and nephews and can often be seen on the STA campus playing a part in the Academy’s future success.

STA invites the entire community, friends, family, and fellow alumnae, to join us in celebrating her accomplishments. The award ceremony will take place on October 7, 2023, on the STA campus. During this special event, we will share Beth’s inspiring story and highlight the impact she has made on the legal profession and the community she serves.
