STA celebrates National Principals Month
Great schools have great principals! At St. Teresa’s Academy, we are very fortunate to have two amazing principals guiding our work.
Elizabeth Baker, Ed.D.
Principal for Student Affairs
Dr. Baker has been with STA since 2015. As the Principal for Student Affairs, she often is seen at campus events and activities participating along with students, answering questions and providing guidance. She also is responsible for making sure campus life operates smoothly and the learning environment is a safe and productive one.
Dr. Baker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC); a Master of Science in Education/Curriculum & Instruction from Central Missouri State University; and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Notre Dame. She holds an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Central Missouri and a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from UMKC.
Barbara McCormick, Ed.S.
Principal for Academic Affairs
Ms. McCormick has been with STA since 2009. She is responsible for all things academic, ensuring the Academy is leading the way in advanced curriculum and forward-thinking experiential learning programs. Ms. McCormick, a CSJ Association (CSJA) also maintains close connections with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet by ensuring the school’s history is honored through exchange programs and educational offerings.
Ms. McCormick earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Washburn university, a Master of Science in Education Administration from Kansas State University, and an Educational Specialist degree from UMKC.
