Senior Stars Celebrate Class Day

May 12, 2023

It’s tradition. Every year, seniors return to campus one last time as student Stars to celebrate together and take part in the Class Day closing ceremony. In a few short days, they will call themselves STA alumnae and go off into the world as change makers, influencers, and well-rounded young women ready to change the world.

This year’s Class Day featured a new twist – the addition of “Catch the Fire” as part of the closing ceremony – the bookend to the Passing of the Legacy ceremony they experienced as freshmen. Catch the Fire is reminiscent of the ancient fire that was secretly kindled in 1647 by the six Sisters of of St. Joseph in Le Puy en Velay, France. These women had the fire and passion to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by dedicating themselves to serving the people especially forgotten by society. Catch the Fire is a reminder to graduates to continue the charism of unifying love and make a positive impact on others’ lives.
