Pruebas de acceso a la universidad
Many colleges and universities have moved to test-optional admissions as a result of COVID 19. Pay close attention to all application instructions, as some majors may not be test-optional. In addition, some schools that are test-optional for admissions may require tests for merit scholarships or honors programs. The The FairTest website maintains a current list of test-optional schools.
Practicar el ACT (no es necesario registrarse)
Esta prueba se ofrece durante el día escolar a finales de octubre o principios de noviembre para todos los estudiantes de segundo y tercer año. PSAT Practice Test
This digital test is taken at home by all sophomores in mid-Octubre. Information will be sent to students and parents. This free opportunity is offered through our partnership with Revolution Prep.
PSAT/NMSQT
This optional, digital test is taken on campus by juniors in mid-Octubre. Registration is required by parents in mid-Agosto; a link will be sent by College Counseling. This is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and a practice for the digital SAT. There are NO alternate test dates.
STA does not recommend or endorse any of the resources below. They offer a variety of services at different locations with varying costs and schedules. There are also local companies that offer test preparation courses. If you are going to invest time and money in a test preparation course, note that it requires a significant amount of time and commitment on the student’s part for classes, homework, assigned practice tests, etc.

Preparación para la revolución
STA has partnered with Revolution Prep, which offers live online classes limited to eight students at a time. These courses include five practice test and weekly parent email updates. Financial assistance is provided to families who require needs-based assistance from STA. Contact Greg Shrader at Revolution Prep for additional information.
