Why did you choose to attend St. Teresa's Academy?
During my eighth grade year, I shadowed at St. Teresa’s and I instantly loved it. I really loved the size, classes, and the student culture.

What has been your favorite class at STA?
So far my favorite class has been College European History I. I enjoy the subject matter and the format of the classroom.

What is your favorite part of the STA community?
My favorite part of the STA community is the sense of sisterhood that drives everyone, particularly in advisory. When I was a freshman, I never felt afraid to ask for directions or advice from upperclass students. Everyone was there for each other and the upperclassmen in my advisory always helped the freshmen.

What has been your most memorable experience at STA?
One of my most memorable experiences at STA was last year’s Relay for Life. Not only was it personal because I know so many people with cancer, but the amount of dedication we all had to raise money for cancer research was astounding. In addition, I got to spend the entire night doing fun activities with my friends!

Looking back at your year(s) at STA, what would you tell yourself on the first day of school?
I would tell myself to just throw everything I had into extracurriculars and clubs. STA offers so many fun activities and I feel that with the stress of going to a new school, I didn’t fully take advantage of those options. Now that I'm a junior, I have a better idea of what activities I like to do at STA.

What advice would you give to prospective students who are considering STA?
I would say that for someone like me who went to a small grade school, coming to a bigger school can be intimidating, but don’t let that deter you! My advice is to look at the student culture, as opposed to size, to determine if STA is right for you.

What is the one thing you have learned most about yourself? How has STA helped you discover that?
One thing I have learned about myself is that I’m more of a leader than I thought I was. Through joining clubs and extracurriculars, I’ve learned I enjoy organizing and planning events much more than I thought I did. I feel STA has empowered me to be more of a leader in all aspects of my life.
