Why did you choose to attend St. Teresa's Academy?
I chose St. Teresa's Academy because of the welcoming spirit that I received. I also enjoyed the idea of sisterhood, as well as a second family. STA also had many academic opportunities that would help prepare me for the future.
What has been your favorite class at STA?
My favorite class I've taken at STA is Acting. It allowed me to express myself creatively, while also teaching me about the importance of theatre.
What is your favorite part of the STA community?
My favorite part about the STA community is knowing I'll always be supported no matter what. STA is a sisterhood, as well as a family, that is there to encourage you every step of the way. Your sisters will always have your back and you can always count on them to help you out.
What has been your most memorable experience at STA?
My most memorable experience at St. Teresa's was Freshman Retreat. It allowed me to make new friends and hear from older girls who were more experienced at STA. We also got the chance to do many fun activities where we were able to support one another.
Looking back at your year(s) at STA, what would you tell yourself on the first day of school?
Looking back at freshman year, I would tell myself to be open to new people as well as new and different activities or clubs. High school is truly what you make of it, and coming in with a positive and open attitude will definitely make it enjoyable.
What advice would you give to prospective students who are considering STA?
I would tell prospective students to be open to branching out to things they've never tried before. I'd also tell them to make new friends they'd never met, and to not be afraid of the new upcoming school year.
What is the one thing you have learned most about yourself? How has STA helped you discover that?
In the two years I’ve been at STA I've learned to use my voice. I've learned that it is okay to speak out about things I feel passionate about. STA helped me by building my courage in the classroom. They've taught me it is okay to have an opinion and that it is important to voice it, although everyone won't always agree. I've really come out of my shell at STA.
