Star Galaxy Committee

STA’s rich history of diversity and inclusion has been a key component of the Academy since its inception. Students, faculty and staff with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enrich and enhance the learning process and help each of us to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are vital to succeed and live a meaningful life in today’s global community.

The Star Galaxy Committee is a standing committee of the Star Parents Association.  Monthly committee meetings will provide parents with opportunities for engagement with STA’s mission for equity.  In addition, the Star Galaxy Committee will provide opportunities for parents to participate in equity-related training and workshops.

If you would like to get involved with the Star Galaxy Committee, please contact Nicole Smith, Director of Equity, Outreach and Inclusive Education.

St. Joseph Society

All fathers STA students are invited to join this special organization. It’s a great way to become more involved in the education of your daughter through special events, social activities and service projects.

At the start of each school year, the St. Joseph Society sponsors a dad’s breakfast with the STA president. Check the online calendar for dates and times.

For more information on the St. Joseph Society, contact Barbara Cusick, STA Parent and Community Outreach director.

Taher Lunch Service/LunchTime account

Taher Inc. is STA’s on-campus lunch provider

Taher has 40+ years of providing specialized food service to more than 300 public and private schools, universities and businesses. They are committed to the well-being of our students and will deliver fresh, healthy and locally grown food to our school.

If your daughter wishes to purchase lunch through Taher, you must first create an account and add funds to “LunchTime” using these instructions.

STA is not an open campus, so students are expected to dine at school, whether through Taher or by bringing their own lunches.

If you have any issues creating your LunchTime/Taher account, please email Taher’s Food Service Specialist.
