The St. Teresa's Academy freshman basketball team will compete at the 14th Annual LSW 9th A Girls' Basketball Tournament, Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at Lee's Summmit West High School. The Stars open play, Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. vs. Lee's Summit North High School in the Auxiliary South Gym. Admission to the event is $4.
Tryouts for the 2018 spring athletic seasons begin Feb. 26, 2018. For those interested in trying out for a spring sport, please fill out this form as soon as possible. The required spring sport Parent/Student-Athlete Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in Goppert Gymnasium.
The St. Teresa's Academy dance team will compete at the 2018 Lee's Summit North Dance Dance Invitational, Jan. 20 at Lee's Summit North High School. The Stars will compete in Division 4 and are set to perform at 10:19 a.m. (Hip-Hop), 1:55 p.m. (Mix), and 3:03 p.m. (Jazz). Click here for the complete competition schedule.
The St. Teresa's Academy swim & dive team had a solid start to the 2017-18 season. The StarFish competed in four meets before the Holiday break, and earned consideration MSHSAA State qualifying marks for Caroline Armstrong (dive), Erin Graham (100 breaststroke), Maddie Adam (50 freestyle), Caroline Penner (50, 100 freestyle) and the 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay.
Key second-half meets include the COMO Invitational, Jan. 6, 2018 and the Independent League Championships, Feb. 7-8 before competing at the State meet, Feb. 16-17.
The St. Teresa's Acadademy dance team has worked hard throughout the fall season, performed at home volleyball contests, as well as a Rockhurst football game in preparation for their winter competition season. The Stars competed at the KC Classic, Dec. 9 at Liberty High School where the squad took home first place in the Mix division, second place in the Jazz division and fourth place in Hip-Hop. The Stars next competition will take place Jan. 20, 2018 at Lee's Summit North High School, before traveling to St. Charles, MO., Feb.
The St. Teresa's Academy basketball team finished the first half if it's season with a 3-4 record. After a tough three game stretch to open the season, the Stars bounced back and won three of their next four, including a 55-34 win over Shawnee Mission East High School at the Cable-Dahmer Shootout at Avila University.
