The St. Teresa's Acacdemy softball team will host summer workouts in preparation for the 2018 season. A mandatory team meeting and individual workouts begin, May 30. Team Camp will take place, June 18-21 from 7-9 a.m. at STA. For team camp and sports performance enrollment as well as the complete 2018 calendar, please follow the links below.
On April 19, STA students cut their hair to create wigs for women battling cancer. The student body gathered in the school auditorium to witness 30 students chop off their locks to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Pantene partners with the American Cancer Society® to distribute free real-hair wigs to women in need.
On February 23, freshman and sophomore students spent a powerful day learning from experts on a wide range of social justice and women's issues. Keynote speaker, Regina Kort, kicked off the event. Regina is the daughter of Holocaust survivor, Sonia Warshawski, who is featured in the acclaimed film Big Sonia. Sonia had been scheduled to appear, but came down with the flu. Regina enthralled her audience with stories, video clips, and photos from Sonia's harrowing life.
Six student-athletes from the class of 2018 committed to play collegiate athletics, April 11. The outstanding group accounted for four All-District selections, three All-Metro selections, three District Championships, two Sectional Championships, three Kansas City Metro Girls Lacrosse Association Championships and two trips to the Missouri State Lacrosse Association Final Four. The 2018 graduates are the 17th consecutive senior class from St. Teresa's Academy to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
The St. Teresa's Academy varsity and junior varsity soccer teams will compete in the 2018 MO-KAN Challenge, March 24-28 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The varsity opens play, March 24 at 1 p.m. vs. Olathe South High School, while the JV takes on Olathe South at 11 a.m. Please follow the links below for complete tournamnet information.
Senior Natalie Kistler has been selected for the 2018 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri's Top academic students in the graduating class of 2018. Students will be recognized at a luncheon in Columbia, MO, on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
