We would like to congratulate these young women and invite you to view the exhibit February 17-23 at the Thornhill Gallery.
Congratulations to Karen Crouch for acceptance of her submission entitled "A Piece of the Sky" to this year's national exhibition, held in conjunction with the Annual international conference of NCECA, The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. This is the 50th anniversary of NCECA and the conference will be held in Kansas City this year.

Three St. Teresa's Academy student-athletes participated in the early signing period for the class of 2016 collegiate-bound athletes. Meghan King, Andie Round and Ryan Wilkins each signed their National Letter of Intent, Nov. 11 as part of the 24th consecutive STA senior class to send student-athletes on to collegiate athletics.
Congratulations to our Scholastic Art Award Winners! Gold Scholastic Awards: Jewell Allen (Ceramics), Mary Grace Campbell (Ceramics), Iyanla Williams (Ceramics), Sarah Ferron (Drawing and Ilustration), Cat DeRousse (Mixed Media) and Annie Bolin (Digital Media). These award winners will go on to the National Adjudication.
The St. Teresa's Academy dance team will host tryouts for the 2016-17 season March 28 - April 3, 2016 in Goppert Gymnasium. Additionally, there will be an audition meeting March 8, from 6-7 p.m. in Goppert. Tryouts will consist of three audition clinics (March 28-30) and one audtion (April 1). Team selections will be made April 3. Tryouts are open to any student-athlete entering 9th - 12th grade and are closed to the public.
STA is pleased to announce that senior, Hallie Ryan, has been selected as a candidate in the United States Presidential Scholar Program. The program recognizes our nation's most distinguished seniors for their accomplishments in academics, test scores, leadership, service, and the arts. Congratulations to Hallie and good luck as you progress through the process.
Winners for the Scholastic Writing Awards were selected from over 1,000 submissions received from throughout Missouri and the Kansas City, Kansas area. Winning pieces will be published in Missouri Youth Write, an online publication which will be available in June 2016.
One week after being named the KC Star Athlete of the Week, St. Teresa's Academy senior, Eleanor Lueke received yet another honor, was named Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week by Time Warner Cable Sports. Lueke has lead the Stars to a 10-3 start with games against Bishop Miege and Olathe Northwest this week. Congratulations, Eleanor!
