STA alumnae will compete at the NCAA Women's Division I Cross Country Championships, Nov. 21 at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY. Courtney Coppinger will represent the University of Kansas while Ann Campbell will run for Villanova University.
Senior Alison Munoz has been selected as a National Hispanic Scholar based off her PSAT score junior year. Alison is one of 25,000 Hispanic/Latino seniors to be recognized nationwide. Congratulations Alison!
Three St. Teresa's Academy student-athletes participated in the early signing period for the class of 2016 collegiate-bound athletes. Meghan King, Andie Round and Ryan Wilkins each signed their National Letter of Intent, Nov. 11 as part of the 24th consecutive STA senior class to send student-athletes on to collegiate athletics.
St. Teresa's Academy freshman, Addie Coppinger competed at the MSHSAA Class 4, Cross Country State Championships, Nov. 7 at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City, MO. Coppinger finished 51st (20:10.29) out of 165 runners and was the sixth freshman to cross the finish line in the race. Even as the lone STA competitor, Coppinger represented the Stars for the 27th consecutive year at the MSHSAA State Cross Country Championships.
The St. Teresa's Academy volleyball team finished 2nd at the MSHSAA Class 4, State Championships, Oct. 30-31 in Cape Girardeau, MO. The final four appearance was the third in program history and first return trip since 2006, where the Stars finished as State Champions. STA split all three matches on the first day of competition before winning a one set playoff over Ozark to solidify a spot in the final vs. Lafayette Wildwood.

The St. Teresa's Academy cross country ran at the MSHSAA Class 4, District 8 Championships, Oct. 24 at Platte Ridge Park in Platte City, MO. Three STA runners achieved All-District honors and advanced to the Sectional Championship, Oct. 31 at Jesse James Park in Kearney, MO. Freshman, Addie Coppinger finished 10th (20:08.70), while sophomore, Mary Kate Armstrong finished 27th (20:35.90) and junior, Emma Kate Callahan finished 28th (20:37.30).
For the third time in program history, the St. Teresa's Academy volleyball team is headed back to the MSHSAA Class 4, Volleyball Championships. The Stars defeated Oak Park High School (2-0) and Raymore-Peculiar High School (2-0), Oct. 24 and punched their ticket to the state's final four; a feat which has eluded the program since 2006.
