STA Giving Day Nurtures Unity and Support

On March 10, 2020, the first STA Giving Day was introduced to the generous STA community with resounding success. During one 24-hour period, alumnae, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff came together in support of the mission and vision of St. Teresa’s Academy.

The primary goal of the endeavor was to reach 154 donors, representing the number of years since the founding of STA in 1866. Within hours of its start, the enthusiasm of supporters shattered this objective, ultimately gaining 546 donors, or 353% of the original goal.

In addition, STA Giving Day provided numerous unexpected benefits by reuniting classes of graduates, bringing alumnae together in spirited competitions, inspiring heart-warming videos and social media posts in appreciation of the spirit of STA, and motivating students and new graduates to continue their charitable journey. In fact, the class of 2018, just two years out of STA, rose to the top of the class leaderboard with 35 donors.

By offering countless stories of kindness and charity, STA Giving Day captured the essence of the Sisters of St. Joseph and its charism of loving unity. As the sisters extol, “Together ... we are more!”
