The St. Teresa's Academy swim & dive team won it's third consecutive Independent League Championship, Feb. 11 at Central Academy of Excellence. The StarFish won the meet with 555 total points, 100 ahead of it's nearest competitor. STA finished the meet with victories in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, 200 Yard Freestyle, 500 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke.
The St. Teresa's Academy swim & dive team will compete at the 2016 Independent League Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 10-11 at Central High School as the Starfish look to defend their title for the third straight year. Swimming prelims begin at 4:30 p.m., Feb. 11 while diving and swimming finals take place, Feb. 11 and begin at 4 p.m.
Feb. 10 (Prelims): Races begin at 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 11 (Diving / Finals): Diving begins at 4 p.m., Swimming begins 40 minutes after diving concludes

Three St. Teresa's Academy student-athletes participated in the early signing period for the class of 2016 collegiate-bound athletes. Meghan King, Andie Round and Ryan Wilkins each signed their National Letter of Intent, Nov. 11 as part of the 24th consecutive STA senior class to send student-athletes on to collegiate athletics.
The St. Teresa's Academy dance team will host tryouts for the 2016-17 season March 28 - April 3, 2016 in Goppert Gymnasium. Additionally, there will be an audition meeting March 8, from 6-7 p.m. in Goppert. Tryouts will consist of three audition clinics (March 28-30) and one audtion (April 1). Team selections will be made April 3. Tryouts are open to any student-athlete entering 9th - 12th grade and are closed to the public.
One week after being named the KC Star Athlete of the Week, St. Teresa's Academy senior, Eleanor Lueke received yet another honor, was named Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week by Time Warner Cable Sports. Lueke has lead the Stars to a 10-3 start with games against Bishop Miege and Olathe Northwest this week. Congratulations, Eleanor!
St. Teresa's Academy head soccer coach, Jeremy McElduff was named the 2015 Missouri Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations. McElduff guided the Stars to a 22-2-1 record in 2015, as the team captured the MSHSAA Class 4, State Soccer Title and a top 25 national ranking by topdrawersoccer.com.
St. Teresa's Academy senior, Eleanor Lueke was named The Star's High School Athlete of the Week, Jan. 7. Lueke lead STA to the Ray-Pec Sonic Classic championship, scored 68 points throughout the three game tournament, including 30 vs. Grandview in an overtime victory. Congratulations, Eleanor!
