Why did you choose to attend St. Teresa's Academy?
I chose to attend St. Teresa's Academy because I had heard of the sisterhood at St. Teresa's, and I had always wanted to be a part of it. I also chose to attend because I knew it would prepare me for college and give me a head start to whatever career choice I would want to achieve in the future. With numerous opportunities and exposure available at St. Teresa's, I knew that it was the perfect place for me.

What has been your favorite class at STA?
My favorite class I have taken at STA would be AP US History. Definitely not because it was easy, but because it pushed and challenged me in so many ways. I put my all into the class, studying the way I had always done. It took that class for me to realize I would have to change what I had been doing in order to succeed. I would have to take the longer route. I could not get away with simply memorizing definitions for a test and forgetting it. I had to truly understand the material and be able to connect it to other concepts, which definitely took way longer, but also contributed to me doing better in that class, as well as others.

What is your favorite part of the STA community?
My favorite part of the STA community is that everyone is pulling for you to succeed. No matter where you come from and how different you think you are from others, everyone in the STA community will always support you in your endeavors.

What has been your most memorable experience at STA?
My most memorable experience at STA was being on the freshman basketball team. Every day had something new in store for it, whether it be the long conversations we had with each other before practices or the celebrations we had after we won a game. Being on the basketball team, alongside a great group of girls, made me feel like I was a part of something and proud to be a part of the STA community.

Looking back at your year(s) at STA, what would you tell yourself on the first day of school?
Looking back at my three years at STA, on the first day of school, I would tell myself that I am not the only one walking into a completely new way of life. I would say, “Be yourself. Don't be afraid to speak what's on your mind. Don't be afraid of saying the wrong thing. No one is always right, and that is what makes you human.”

What advice would you give to prospective students who are considering STA?
My advice would be to stay true to yourself and don't be afraid of letting people know what is on your mind. Also, start your first day making good impressions and trying your very best in all your classes because this is what dictates your future, and you will no longer get a second chance.

What is the one thing you have learned most about yourself? How has STA helped you discover that?
I have learned that I am much stronger than I realized. There were many nights where I had lots of homework as well as  practice, and I would worry about how my school work would get done. Little did I know, it would always get done. Whether it be me sacrificing my sleep or learning how to manage my time in new ways, it would always get done.
