March 8, 2024

The St. Teresa’s Academy Athletic Department is excited to introduce Victoria Henson as the new head volleyball coach. With a distinguished career as a former professional volleyball player and an impressive track record at Iowa State University, Victoria brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Academy’s volleyball program.

As a three-time All-American, three-time All-Big 12, and three-time All-Region player with a Division I Athletics Scholarship, Henson’s on-court achievements showcase her dedication and skill. Her commitment extends to coaching, evident in roles at Leavenworth High School and Mill Valley High School, where she prioritized player safety, fostered positive relationships with parents and athletes, and fearlessly tackled challenges.

Henson’s venture as a professional player with Bring It Promotion Volleyball Agency, spanning locations like Puerto Rico and Slovakia, reflects her global perspective, effective communication and strong leadership. As a team leader for the Havoc Professional Volleyball Team, her exceptional teamwork and work ethic shined.

Athletics Director Kat Williams says, “Beyond her achievements, Victoria will be an excellent role model for our athletes, with her elevated and lively volleyball career. Her journey reflects the qualities our girls aspire to embody – passion, resilience and a commitment to excellence. We are confident Victoria’s influence will enhance our volleyball program and inspire our student-athletes to reach new heights on and off the court.”

In additional exciting news, Victoria will be inducted into the Iowa State Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2024 at a ceremony this fall at the Sukup End Zone Club in Ames, Iowa, marking a well-deserved honor. Read the full article.
