Botany (Summer Course)

Botany is the scientific study of plants and their relationship to the environment.  Botany covers a wide range of scientific disciplines that study the growth, reproduction, anatomy, morphology, physiology, biochemistry and ecology of plants.

The course is designed where students will complete at home video lectures, readings, homework, online quizzes and online exams.  Students will be required to attend one of the Fridays (June 4th, 11th, or 18th) to complete the labs. There will not be a comprehensive final exam, instead students will  research plant adaptations in extreme conditions on Earth compared to Extraterrestrial environments such as the Moon or Mars.  Students will create a PowerPoint and voice over video for their presentation.

Online blended course.  Students will be required to attend one of the Fridays in June to complete the labs.  All content and assessment will be done at home, online.
