Choir Trip

Location – Italy (Rome, Florence, Lucca)
Date – May 22-30, 2024
Registration & Cost – TBD

STA choral students will travel to Italy to perform three concerts and sing at one Mass. The concerts will be held at ancient churches in Lucca, Rome and Assisi. The Mass will be at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. In addition to these performances, students will visit major museums and historical sites in Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Assisi, Rome and Vatican City. A Shadow Tour, consisting of parents, family and friends, will accompany the student tour, attending the concerts and Masses and visiting the same historical sites. It is a unique opportunity for the young women of STA and their family and friends to sing choral music in the churches for which the music was written. We look forward to the young women of STA adding their voices to the countless pilgrims who have sung this music in these sacred places for centuries.

CSJ Sister School Exchange

Location – Le Puy En Velay, France
Date – June 2024
Registration & Cost – $4,500 (fee covers accommodations, flight, health insurance, excursions and meals)

This trip takes students to the community of Le Puy En Velay, France, to visit students and families of St. Joseph School, founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1850. St. Teresa’s Academy students will be paired with a student from the school and reside with that family during their stay in France.

Our primary goal is to build global partnerships with the many Sisters of St. Joseph schools around the world. Students will travel to Paris and Lyon while visiting the motherland of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

The cost of this trip is $4,500/student. This fee covers accommodations, flight, health insurance, excursions and meals. A sister school exchange program with St. Joseph School in Le Puy En Velay, France,  has been vital to continuing the legacy of the CSJ and keeping their charisms alive.

The congregation was founded in Le Puy in 1650. As part of the program, French students have traveled to Kansas City to live with STA families and attend school for two weeks out of the year. During the summer of 2017, STA students traveled to Le Puy for 10 days to learn more about the history of the CSJ. The program continues to offer STA students an opportunity to travel to the homeland of the Academy’s founders.
