Interim Week is a time of innovation, creation, and discovery as teachers unveil new courses specifically developed for STA students. Designed to expose students to new ideas, experiences, and environments, Interim Week provides classes that focus on exploratory, hands-on, and interactive learning. The goal is to foster a pursuit of knowledge outside of the normal academic schedule that will allow learners to broaden their appreciation and awareness for the world in which they live.
Interim Week Course Enrollment
Students enrolled in one or two classes that meet all day or for half a day. If they chose a half day class then they will take two classes each day. Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. The Academy is a closed campus; therefore, students may purchase Bistro meals or bring a sack lunch.
Monday, December 10, 2018 students and faculty will proceed with Interim Week Orientation. Students will receive their schedule and have an opportunity to meet with the instructors of each course. Please look for your daughter to bring home her schedule that evening.
Field experiences are included in several of the courses being offered. Please check with your daughter for the Field Trip Permission Form. She will need your signature on the form to participate in any travel/transportation related to the course. Each instructor will send home the permission form with your daughter.
Interim Week Course Fees
Parents are asked to review their daughter’s schedule of courses and submit an online payment for courses with a fee. All schedules will be sent home with students on Monday, December 10, 2018. Please click the button below if your daughter has a course that requires payment. All payments are due on or before January 7, 2019.
