Our founders and sponsors are the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Their faithfulness to the CSJ charism of creating right relationships among all people and the environment, along with their profound love of God and love of the dear neighbor without distinction, permeates every aspect of our Catholic education. The integration of theology coursework combined with the CSJ charisms prepare students to live faith-based lives.
Serving the dear neighbor is evident through the STA service program, one of the strongest in the city and assisting more than 70 agencies each year. Every student is required to complete a minimum of 90 hours of service over her junior and senior years. These service agencies assist individuals throughout the spectrum of life, from preschool to end-of-life hospice, and everything in between.
The Campus Ministry team enriches the faith of the STA community through daily prayer, school liturgies, and student retreats. The youth-based model encourages students to take active leadership roles in planning and leading spiritual experiences throughout the school year. Students gather for Mass throughout the year, including monthly parent/daughter liturgies.
